Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Area Manager to join our team at Indie Campers. As a key member of our regional operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stations within a geographical area, driving customer satisfaction, operational results, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day local operations execution, actively manage teams to achieve results, and provide clear, data-based feedback to continuously improve performance.
  • Performance Management: Recruit, select, train, manage, motivate, develop, and retain local teams in your area, ensuring adherence to regional KPIs, performance improvement plans, termination, and renewal decisions.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Actively participate in customer satisfaction-related processes, owning service recovery procedures, identifying root-causes, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Workforce Management: Manage scheduling, time tracking, and overtime reports, ensuring adherence to local labor law guidelines and health and safety topics.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with regional teams to remove operational blockers, lead, coordinate, and deliver projects related to operational expansion, and ensure local implementation of new procedures, tools, and initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for P&L management of locations within the area, identifying cost optimization initiatives, and deploying them effectively.

Requirements

  • Background: Background in Engineering, Business Management, or similar education.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience, with experience in strategic operations consulting or finance-related positions a plus.
  • Management Experience: More than 3 years of proven experience in managing operational teams with P&L ownership and direct control over operational financial performance on sustainable business models.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record in establishing operational standards, developing structured operations, leading, managing, and developing high-performing local teams, and coordinating efforts of large and scattered teams.
  • Communication Skills: Capacity to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, thrives under pressure, and is organized, analytical, and results-oriented.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, and in the language of the main country of operations, if applicable.
