Maintaining Efficiency

As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for resolving defects while maintaining station performance and meeting operational targets. To achieve this, you will prepare work method statements, risk assessments, and plant operating instructions to ensure the required level of maintenance is achieved and records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Resolve defects whilst maintaining station performance and meeting operational targets by returning plant to normal operating service.
- Prepare work method statements, risk assessments, and/or plant operating instructions ensuring the required level of maintenance to asset is achieved and records maintained. This shall also involve preparing work orders, ordering spares, and identifying resources.
- Execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure plant is operating safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Participate in major and minor plant and equipment outages.
- Always operate in compliance with all relevant Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures, PTW System, and work instructions.

Requirements

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, assessing priorities, and meeting agreed targets.
- Relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate is essential.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the business.
- Previous knowledge and experience (or capability to develop) of plant, equipment, materials, and maintenance methods used in Power Stations or similar heavy industry.
- High Risk Work Licenses (WP, FL, DG, RB, BA, TO) or willingness to obtain if required.
- Dedication to working safely and efficiently within the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures, PTW System, and work instructions.
