Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Australia's largest gas-fired combined cycle power station. As an essential member of our generation team, you will be working with cutting-edge technology in a close-knit environment where your skills directly contribute to powering the future.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and emergency maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Support major and minor outages, including planning, scheduling, and hands-on execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using CMMS and diagnostic tools.
- Prepare work method statements, risk assessments, and manage spare parts and resources.
- Respond to call-outs and support extended hours during outages, including potential night shifts.
- Electrical trade qualifications (essential).
- HV switching, Beamex, and Cert III Instrumentation (desirable).
- Experience in power generation or heavy industry (CCGT, coal, hydro, refinery).
- Strong understanding of PTW systems and CMMS tools.
- Proven commitment to safety, compliance, and team collaboration.
