Technician for Power Generation Operations

The role of Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is critical to the efficient operation of a power station. Working in a close-knit team with cutting-edge technology, this individual will directly contribute to powering the future.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks and respond to emergency situations to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Support major and minor outages by planning, scheduling, and executing hands-on work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and diagnostic tools.
- Prepare comprehensive work method statements and risk assessments, while effectively managing spare parts and resources.
- Be prepared to work extended hours during outages, including night shifts as required.
- A strong understanding of electrical trade qualifications, preferably with experience in high voltage switching and instrumentation.
- Proven experience working in the power generation or heavy industry sector, ideally with knowledge of combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT), coal, hydro, and refinery operations.
- Proficiency in PTW systems and CMMS tools is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork is vital for collaboration within the team.
