Project Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline and a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction engineering working on high value projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of construction project delivery. You will work under the guidance of the Project Manager and oversee various tasks including managing daily engineering functions, supporting technical coordination, and driving construction quality through inspections and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate daily engineering functions to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Support technical coordination and provide input into planning and procurement activities.
  • Oversee project documentation and assist with subcontractor engagement.
  • Drive construction quality by conducting regular inspections and providing reports.
  • Work closely with engineers, other consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage technical queries, and ensure construction activities are delivered as specified.
  • Contribute to mentoring junior team members.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction engineering working on high value projects.
