This is a six-month contract position with potential for extension, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on safeguarding online environments, especially for vulnerable communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, identity shielding, and forensic technology. This will involve providing critical technical assessments for both external regulation and internal projects.

A key aspect of the role will be communicating complex tech concepts to diverse stakeholders, from executives to customer service teams. The specialist will also develop educational resources on new tech risks and online harm prevention.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will oversee cyber security vendor collaborations, ensuring their solutions align with our standards and regulatory objectives.

To succeed in this role, applicants should possess a Master's or PhD in a related field, such as Forensic Technology, AI, or Information Security. Technical expertise in algorithms, AI, data science, quantum tech, and decentralisation is essential, as is the ability to scrutinise and advise on detection and moderation technologies.

Collaborative, approachable, and proactive individuals with a passion for technology evangelism and educational engagement are encouraged to apply. A proven track record in holding workshops, training sessions, and participating in thought leadership forums is desirable.
