Role Overview

The Rehabilitation Consultant will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide support and guidance to individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement holistic rehabilitation plans for clients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance as clients transition back to work or source new employment opportunities.
  • Conduct assessments, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite ergonomic assessments, and activities of daily living evaluations, to inform rehabilitation planning.
Requirements
  • Candidates must hold current unrestricted registration or membership with a relevant industry body.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling, or Nursing are essential.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a registered profession is required, demonstrating clinical reasoning and expertise.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are necessary to engage with multidisciplinary teams and support shared goals.
  • A passion for helping others recover and regain independence is vital.
  • Experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly desirable.
