As a Pastoral Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering spiritual support and care to residents and clients. This position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

  • Providing personal spiritual support and pastoral care services that meet individual needs and preferences requires empathy, understanding, and exceptional communication skills.
  • You will serve as a key member of the residential aged care team, supporting mission formation activities and promoting the values of our organization by fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and inclusivity.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and spirituality of all individuals demands strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Pastoral Care or a similar qualification in theology or spirituality, demonstrating your expertise and passion for the field.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and its relevance to aged care are essential for providing high-quality care and support to residents.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are critical for building strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • A commitment to respecting the values, customs, and spiritual beliefs of residents is fundamental to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
