Job Description:

Pastoral care and leadership support is provided to clients, families, staff, and volunteers in various settings. The role involves visiting clients at their homes and requires access to a vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral care and support to clients, families, and staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external support and referral services.
  • Advocate for Christian values and mission within the organization.
  • Coach staff members to support the spiritual needs of clients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to client care plans.
  • Facilitate regular carer support groups.
  • Navigate with other religious leaders to coordinate care resources.
  • Develop tailored resources to enhance client wellbeing.

About You:

  • Commitment to Christian mission principles.
  • Strong understanding of people living with life-limiting illnesses.
  • Experience in palliative care is desired but not essential.
  • Personal and active Christian faith, along with church involvement.
  • Theological/Pastoral Care qualifications and experience are beneficial.
