Spiritual Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team.

  • This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of residents and clients by providing compassionate spiritual support and care.

The successful candidate will work closely with residents, clients, and colleagues to understand their unique needs and preferences, ensuring that they receive personalized spiritual care that respects their dignity and cultural background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver high-quality pastoral care services to residents and clients, adhering to Catholic Healthcare's Mission and values.
  • To support mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home.
  • To maintain a safe and respectful environment, following all policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Pastoral Care or related qualifications in theology or spirituality.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to life and aged care.
  • A commitment to supporting the spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly, as well as their family members.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
