Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, ensuring presentation and quality meet our hotel's expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to all food safety and health regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient stock rotation.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the chef de cuisine to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, ensuring budget targets are met.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Trade qualifications in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen management role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations, with the ability to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
