Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team to achieve exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation strategies to optimize kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to drive culinary innovation and menu development
  • Manage kitchen staff rosters, training, and development to ensure a positive and productive working environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Operational experience in achieving financial and business targets
  • Trade Cooking qualifications
