About the Role

This is a key position within the Infrastructure and Service Management team at Westpac, working closely with Tech Leads and Business Analysts to drive the development of enhancements to the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum software development environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Lead, and other Developers to refine backlog stories and provide technical input on ServiceNow configuration, best practices, and platform features.
  • Document detailed designs and estimations to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Utilize technical skills to develop solutions and provide peer support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the squad and overall release train.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and ITIL with ITIL v4 certification preferred.
  • Strong expertise with ServiceNow configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Relevant certifications of ServiceNow CSA and CAD.
  • Strong experience with Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs, including advanced scripting of each, forms workflows, integration hub, and custom Service Portal widgets.
  • Strong functional knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including Employer Centre, HR Service Delivery, Service Catalog/Portal, and HR Mobile & Chatbots. Exposure to ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Report/Performance Analytics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and API design best practices. Understanding of event-driven architectures. Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts. Knowledge of modern web design (CSS, HTML, etc.), JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, Python, or.NET is desirable.
