Hospitality and Catering Assistant

Ventia is seeking skilled individuals to perform hospitality & kitchen duties in the Mess and Bar areas. Successful candidates will possess excellent customer service skills and a responsible service of alcohol certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet Defence Personnel
  • Handle cash transactions and operate EFTPOS systems
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and premises
  • Verify packaged and perishable items for service
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Assist with restocking, stock rotation, and loading/unloading supplies
  • Support stock take and inventory control for kitchen supplies
  • Ensure HACCP program compliance

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or catering
  • Barista experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Defence operations is beneficial
  • Basic computer skills and online rostering system proficiency
