Medical Specialist Opportunity in Tertiary Teaching Hospital

The Role
We are seeking a skilled Surgery Registrar to join our team at a tertiary and level 3 teaching hospital. As a key member of our unit, you will work under the guidance of the Head of Unit, responsible for assessing, planning, providing ongoing treatment, and discharging General Surgery patients.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise and mentor Interns and HMOs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The Facility
Our hospital boasts close to 400 beds and a staff of around 1700. We cater to a population of 200,000 across a catchment area that includes urban communities, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities. Our affiliation with Flinders University and onsite Medical School make us a leader in medical education.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must either hold General, Provisional or Specialist Registration with AHPRA. Alternatively, NZ FRACS can apply now, or NZ SMO willing to be RACS assessed upon job offer.
**Estimated Salary Range:** $180,000 - $250,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that salary will be discussed during the hiring process.
