Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Coordination Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating contracting operations for our asphalt and spray seal projects.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating works to ensure time and budgetary objectives are achieved. This includes collaborating with internal team members and external customers to allocate resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate works to meet project deadlines and budget targets
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize resource allocation
- Review labor utilization, plant maintenance, and equipment availability to improve operational efficiency
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate business training
- Perform purchasing, payroll, job costing, and other administrative tasks as required
- Provide health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) support to the business
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a senior administration, scheduling, or coordination role within a similar industry
- Purchasing, payroll, and job costing experience is highly regarded
- Able to establish strong working relationships with contractors, clients, and team members
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle and chain of responsibility principles is desirable
- Excellent communication and practical project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Highly developed computer skills and ability to learn new systems
