About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to strategic and operational Human Resources initiatives, supporting a diverse workforce and partnering with leaders to drive meaningful change.
The successful candidate will provide support to multiple properties within our portfolio, including hotels in Hobart and Melbourne. This role requires an experienced HR professional who can join our team based in Devonport, Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a trusted partner to leaders and team members, providing expert advice and guidance on people matters, whilst contributing to initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources team, ensuring smooth delivery of best practices and support to operational leaders
- Advise and coach leaders and staff on human resources policies, procedures, and best practices
- Facilitate performance reviews
- Support culture-building initiatives, engagement programs, and organisational change
- Champion governance and compliance across all human resources practices
- Contribute to workforce planning and talent strategies
- Assist in the constant improvement of human resources procedures and management
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related fields
- Positive energy and approachable nature
- Flexibility in working hours, to be able to work with team members on various shifts
- Creative flair and enthusiasm for driving employee engagement initiatives
- Confidence and ability to work autonomously whilst collaborating with the Human Resources and portfolio teams remotely
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA)
- Passion for people and creating a positive workplace culture
- Advanced communication and conflict resolution skills
