
Development Specialist

About the Job
The primary function of this role is to design, implement and coordinate learning initiatives that meet organisational needs. This includes developing programs and projects for staff professional development, managing our Learning Management System (LMS) and collaborating with external stakeholders to deliver high-quality training.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Melrose Park, offering a 9-day fortnight schedule with a dedicated day off every second week. You will still receive remuneration equivalent to a full-time employee, along with opportunities for salary sacrifice.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning programs.
- Manage the study assistance program, including contracts with external providers, enrolment processes, mentoring staff and analysing training effectiveness.
- Develop and implement learning projects aligned with the People & Culture Strategic Plan and Learning & Development Plan.
- Support the delivery of workbooks for the implementation of Workskil Australia's new LMS as part of our Human Resource Information Implementation Project.
- Assist with LMS management, including troubleshooting, course allocation, reporting and help desk escalation.
You should also possess:
- A qualification in Human Resources Management, Training or a related field.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve excellent learning outcomes.
- Project management and change management expertise.
- Strong data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to engage and motivate staff.
- Experience with instructional design, eLearning development (Articulate Storyline and Rise) and Learning Management Systems.
- Ability to write professional documents and influence others verbally to achieve desired outcomes.
- Cultural competence to effectively work with diverse customers, employers and staff.
