
Humanitarian MERL Leadership Position

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in implementing and refining monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) frameworks and plans to support humanitarian logistics capability.
Job DescriptionThe MERL Manager will be responsible for leading a small team in designing and delivering MERL systems that drive program performance and impact. This involves developing and implementing contextually appropriate MERL frameworks and plans, managing a small team, and cultivating supportive and high-performing team cultures.
The role requires excellent understanding and knowledge of DFAT's Design and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Standards and how to apply them in practice. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cross-cutting themes such as Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion, Greening, Localisation, Indigenous Engagement, and Innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing MERL frameworks and plans.
- Proven leadership skills in managing small teams and fostering inclusive environments.
- Excellent written communication skills, including case studies, impact stories, and reports.
- Cultural and political sensitivity with ability to navigate diverse contexts.
