Job Description

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Lead

The job holder will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) function of a large program in the Pacific region. The MERL lead will manage a team of specialists, coordinate MERL inputs across the program and ensure quality assurance of MERL products.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the MERL lead will contribute to strategic discussions on issues impacting program outcomes, drive a system-wide learning culture and advocate for Australian development priorities.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in international development or a related field with more than 10 years' experience at senior levels.
  • Senior management experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience leading diverse teams.
  • Understanding of current issues in circular labour mobility and ability to translate them into implementation.
