
Global Humanitarian Response Leader

Lead the design and delivery of a robust monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) system to drive program performance and impact.
This role involves developing and implementing contextually appropriate MERL frameworks and plans, leading small teams, and cultivating supportive and high-performing team cultures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of DFAT standards and Australia's international development priorities, particularly in the Pacific.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement MERL frameworks and plans that align with DFAT standards and program objectives.
- Lead small teams and foster an inclusive, high-performing environment.
- Design and lead inclusive data collection approaches, ensuring diverse voices are captured and insights inform future preparedness and response planning.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with research partners and program stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading small teams and delivering fit-for-purpose MERL frameworks.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of DFAT's Design and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Standards.
- Strong written skills, including the ability to write case studies, impact stories and reports effectively communicating HLC's progress and results.
