What You'll Be DoingThe position provides support, information, and care navigation for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people with a cancer diagnosis, with a particular focus on remote communities within FWLHD.
- Work in collaborative partnership with existing FWLHD Cancer Services staff, Aboriginal Health Services (e.g., Maari Ma) and Primary Health Care providers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, Elders and Traditional Owners.
- Provide leadership that facilitates ongoing development of clinical practice reflecting the McGrath Model of Care.

How To ApplyTo be considered for this position, please address the selection criteria in your application as thoroughly as possible.
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. (A genuine occupational qualification under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW).
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with relevant post-registration qualifications and/or at least 3 years\' experience working with patients with cancer.
- Demonstrated ability to practice according to RN Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (NMBA).
- Demonstrated ability to engage and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Ability to critically use patient clinical information to manage and navigate care, provide information and education to patients and carers, and escalate clinical concerns.
- Ability to work independently as a member of a multidisciplinary team, with strong time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop therapeutic relationships with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the LHD with potential overnight stays.
