About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at DuluxGroup in Brisbane. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide strategic advice and support to our business leaders and stakeholders across multiple business units in Queensland.

As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for implementing annual activities, influencing and coaching leaders on employee relations cases, supporting industrial relations processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives and people projects.

You will work closely with our HR team, including centres of excellence in Workplace Relations, Organisational Development, Performance, Reward, and Workplace Analytics, and Talent Acquisition.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business, functional, and regional leadership teams to provide generalist HR consultancy, support, and advice on a wide range of human resource management matters.
  • Understand business unit strategic imperatives and develop a plan to deliver on those.
  • Provide advice on ER and IR matters, including employee relations cases and industrial relations processes.
  • Support performance and behavioural issues, workplace investigations, disciplinary management, and complex compensation cases.
  • Coach front-line leaders and build capability around people processes.
  • Be involved in the coordination and delivery of key projects and operational HR matters.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong HR generalist background with a focus on commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in IR/ER case management and a strong understanding of employment law.
  • The ability to build authentic relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, becoming a trusted expert within the business.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as HR, Business, or Law.
