Job Title: Breakfast Sous Chef

We are seeking a talented Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the management of food preparation, production, and implementation of menus that deliver innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily food service and on-site kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution of menus and high-quality food standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to develop new menus and concepts that showcase Sofitel's luxury brand and culinary expertise.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques to meet Brand Standard guidelines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the stewarding team to meet kitchen requirements and ensure efficient food service.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to meet food and beverage operational objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Creative flair with knowledge of current food trends and menu development.
  • Food Handler Certificate and Trade Certification Level 3 (Level 4 preferred).
  • Strong kitchen managerial skills, operational leadership, and team building abilities.
  • Alignment with Sofitel and Accor values and commitment to growth and development within the brands.
