Satellite Communications Specialist

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Earth Station Technician for a remote location assignment.
Key Responsibilities:- Communicate effectively with Prime and US Government customers via multiple channels.
- Monitor transmission performance, initiate corrective action procedures, and conduct IP network connection diagnostics.
- Manage site inventories, complete shipping/receiving of equipment, and notify the Operations Manager of any issues.
- Install and test new earth station equipment, schedule vendor access, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on satellite communications equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
- US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Valid U.S. Passport (Blue Book) with no restrictions on travel.
- Valid driver's license in their state of residence.
- Experience with digital data and communications systems, RF hardware, and fiber optic systems.
- Associates Degree in Communication Engineering Technology or equivalent technical training.
- Extensive knowledge of satellite communications equipment and 5 years of experience in satellite telecommunications engineering and customer service.
