Broadband Satellite Services Enablement and Compliance Specialist

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

The Global Regulatory Affairs team is responsible for enabling and protecting Kuiper's use of radio frequency spectrum at home and abroad. The team defines and leads the Project Kuiper regulatory agenda, operates worldwide, engages with international organizations, coordinates spectrum usage with other operators, gains country access, and promotes safety in space.

This team works closely with technical design, business, and public policy teams to optimize for spectrum sharing and customer experience. They collaborate with Amazon's legal teams to enhance the overall regulatory strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing licensing strategies in Australia and countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region in alignment with Kuiper technical, business, and customer objectives.
  • Securing and maintaining necessary licenses to enable Kuiper services, ensuring compliance with national regulations, deadlines, and fee requirements.
  • Enhancing the customer experience by shaping national and regional policies and regulations affecting non-geostationary satellite systems, space safety, and spectrum usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working at high-levels and collaboratively.

  • International experience.
