Freight Operations Manager

Our team is seeking a skilled Freight Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our freight department. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Training Programs: Assist in designing and administering training programs for operational staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Enhance Safety and Efficiency: Encourage staff feedback and recommend changes to improve safety and efficiency within the department.
  • Performance Feedback: Provide regular performance feedback to team members, helping them identify areas for improvement and develop professionally.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the freight department, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations and managing the movement of freight.
  • Safety and Security Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety and security standards, including those related to hazardous materials.
  • Staff Development: Train and counsel operational staff to help them excel in their roles and contribute to the success of the team.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in freight management and operations.
  • Knowledge of IATA Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and train staff effectively.
  • Proficient in safety and security compliance.
