Support Specialist

Our organisation is seeking an experienced Support Specialist to provide early intervention outreach support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness.

Your Role

  • Deliver engaging case management services to clients from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to address their individual needs.
  • Engage clients through proactive outreach and assist them to establish and maintain sustainable tenancies.
  • Support clients to access relevant resources and specialist services, ensuring a comprehensive approach to service delivery.

About the Position

As a Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique circumstances and develop tailored solutions to support their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality case management services, including assessment, planning, and coordination of support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community agencies, government departments, and other service providers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures, ensuring best practice in service delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in case management, preferably in homelessness services or community housing sectors.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation, including those related to homelessness and housing.
  • Understanding of the Specialist Homelessness Information Platform (SHIP) and its applications.
