Job Summary:

Healthscope is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in facilitating the education and development of our nursing staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the education team to develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of our nursing staff.
  • Deliver education and support to nursing staff across the facility, including student orientation and ongoing communication of student/staff expectations.
  • Maintain an ongoing communication of student/staff expectations and provide learning that meets the needs of students.
  • Facilitate the opportunity for students to study and learn through observation, participation, reflection, and skill development.
  • Act as a role model for safe practice and promote a culture of excellence in patient care.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE).
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary education.
  • Advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ED/ICU/HDU or high acuity clinical areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of quality improvement projects.
  • Advanced level of decision-making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Postgraduate studies in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in an education/preceptor role.
