  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Utilize effective communication strategies to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Patients and Families: Work in partnership with patients and families to make informed decisions about care, promoting beneficial relationships and outcomes.
  • Develop and Utilize Leadership Skills: Demonstrate ability to provide leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives: Commit to ongoing professional development and quality improvement programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Essential Criteria:

  • AHPRA Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute general medical/rehabilitation nursing.
  • Education and Training: Demonstrated experience providing education to patients and leadership and education to nursing staff.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement programs.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards and ability to demonstrate initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting a positive can-do attitude and strong leadership skills.
  • Leadership and Management: Experience in coordinating shifts and managing the unit after hours, demonstrating commitment to uphold and promote the Healthscope core values.
