Support Technician Job Description

As a Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing remote service desk support to a variety of environments from users. You will be the point of escalation and subject matter expert (SME) for technical issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing remote service desk support to a diverse range of environments
  • Escalating complex technical issues to senior technicians or managers as required
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the IT industry
Requirements

To succeed as a Support Technician, you will need:

  • Advanced understanding of end-user support and Active Directory
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server, Azure, and Exchange
  • Genuine exposure across technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking
  • An understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a genuine desire to understand customers and help them
