Key Role in Homelessness Support: Senior Housing Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Housing Officer to play a critical role in supporting our Housing and Homelessness Services department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing timely, coordinated assistance to individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Job Description:
  • Housing Needs Assessment: Assess the specific housing needs of customers and provide direct services through various channels.
  • Application Review: Approve high and very high need social housing applications and transfers, ensuring quality assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop effective professional relationships with stakeholders to improve customer outcomes and processes.
  • Complaint Management: Manage formal internal and external complaints, facilitating resolutions and supervise team activities.
  • Field Work: Primarily work in the field, meeting with customers who are rough sleeping, and establish a workplace safety culture.

This is a regional role that may involve intra-state travel overnight. You will lead by example, demonstrating a balanced approach to managing conflicting demands and handling risk and uncertainty.
