Community Housing Officer Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in providing holistic support for individuals facing housing instability.


Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised plans to address client needs.
  • Monitor and adjust plans in response to client progress and evolving circumstances.
  • Provide immediate crisis support and connect clients with relevant external services.
  • Collaborate with real estate professionals to support clients' housing outcomes.
  • Manage a portfolio of residential properties, including inspections and tenancy transitions.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders such as Police, Child Safety, Corrections, Youth Justice, Public Guardian, and educational institutions.
  • Promote independent living skills and deliver coordinated services to support client wellbeing and long-term stability.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in Mental Health, Social Work, or Community Services is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable populations and managing high-needs cases.
  • Strong understanding of complex needs and ability to make sound judgments.
