This is an exceptional chance to pioneer a long-term health care initiative and contribute to improving the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a regional location.

As a leading advanced clinician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary health care services within the clinic, aligning with the BRAMS Model of Care and prioritising culturally safe and responsive practices.

Your key responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making, prescribing medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic investigations, managing recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes, collaborating effectively across departments and multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to quality improvement activities and clinical audits.

You will also participate in clinical governance and safeguarding practices for children and young people, working closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of exceptional care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must hold current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner and have demonstrated experience working in a primary healthcare setting. Additionally, the following qualifications and attributes are highly valued:

  • Experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services
  • Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management
