Electrical Engineer - High Voltage Specialist

Become part of our dynamic team and contribute to delivering high-value projects across the energy sector.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on traditional high voltage power transmission, infrastructure, and industrial projects with various clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical delivery of HV projects from feasibility, concept designs, detail designs, and owner's engineer.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead primary design of high voltage substations and other related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver timely and accurate documentation and reports.
  • Lead teams of engineers to undertake larger packages of work, including training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Provide concept and detailed design review of specifications, drawings, etc.
  • Maintain current design standards as set by legislative requirements.
  • Carry out quality checks and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of engineering disciplines and experience in electricity transmission, distribution, and traction power projects.
  • Experience within substation primary engineering position across HV/EHV substations design (up to 500kV ideally).
  • Proficiency in engineering software for design.
  • Knowledge of design impact on construction.
  • Organisational skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Results-oriented with a good technical engineering basis in transmission, distribution, or rail traction power.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
