Job Overview:

Our team is seeking skilled automation professionals to join us in permanent full-time positions based in Adelaide, South Australia. As a high-voltage automation expert, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of substation automation systems.

About the Role:

  • Develop preliminary or detailed designs, options analysis, risk assessments, scope, and specifications of Substation Automation Systems in High Voltage power transmission projects.
  • Perform engineering design review and validation including commissioning witnessing of Substation Automation Systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Substation Automation System standards including equipment evaluation.
  • Coordinate engineering project deliverables with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with approximately 2 to 7 years of experience in Substation Automation Systems in High Voltage power transmission projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of Substation SCADA Automation Systems and Architecture.
  • Knowledge of DNP3 and IEC 61850 substation network communication standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Protection Design and Substation Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Understanding of substation metering, circuitry design, voltage regulation, auto-reclose, and synchronizing schemes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
