Senior Food Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Scientist to lead our value engineering initiatives in the ANZ region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and product development expertise to drive cost savings and improve the value proposition for McCain Foods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify and develop cost-saving opportunities for raw materials, ingredients, and processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive performance and evaluate new technologies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with procurement to realize savings across raw materials and ingredients spend and opportunities for SCA and VE.
• Build relationships within the organization to develop new projects and business processes efficiently within the McCain business.
• Influence project stakeholders in all functions and senior leadership to clear obstacles and deliver results for the organization.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Food Scientist with a strong background in product development and ingredient knowledge. You will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science & Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, and a minimum of 7-10 years of technical and professional research & development experience in consumer goods, preferably in food. You will also have demonstrated knowledge of product development, cost optimization, and manufacturing processes with experience in product commercialization.
