We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to join our Ballarat - Potato Plant team. Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching and mentoring to the Site Health and Safety Manager
- Utilize internal and external resources in the execution of the ANZ safety strategy
- Manage Worker's Compensation in consultation with external service providers and ANZ regional team
- Plan and budget specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being
- Serve as Lead Investigator for significant incidents that may occur at the plant, serve as Investigation Team Member for other plant's investigations
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Manager, minimum 7 years total as an OHS practitioner. The ideal candidate will be conversant in Lean Manufacturing Principles with a focus on the Plan-Do-Check-Act process.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of unrelated projects with a results-oriented approach, logical thinking, and superior problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and coach individuals at all levels of the organization
- Facilitating detailed and comprehensive risk assessment activities, beyond individual, task-based assessments
