We are seeking a dedicated professional to spearhead product development and provide technical expertise to enhance our product value engineering initiatives across the ANZ region. This role encompasses a variety of exciting projects, from initial brainstorming to product launch, with a strong emphasis on quality and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Guide teams in identifying cost-saving opportunities related to raw materials, ingredients, and processes to enhance McCain's value proposition.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to generate innovative raw material and ingredient value engineering concepts and prepare comprehensive business cases for new initiatives.
- Engage with suppliers to enhance performance and assess new technologies and cost-saving prospects.
- Assist procurement in achieving savings across raw materials and ingredient expenditures while exploring opportunities for strategic cost analysis and value engineering.
- Foster relationships within the organization to efficiently develop new projects and streamline business processes.
- Influence stakeholders across various functions and senior leadership to overcome challenges and achieve organizational objectives.
- Lead technical teams as a program manager for high-value and complex projects to ensure successful execution.
- 7 - 10 years of relevant research and development experience in consumer goods, ideally within the food sector.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in product development, cost optimization, and manufacturing processes, with a track record in product commercialization.
- Strong business acumen and influencing capabilities to secure project buy-in.
- Ability to foresee challenges and manage project risks while maintaining a focus on execution.
- Creative problem solver with an innovative mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive product development initiatives.
- Project management training or certification is advantageous.
- Successful candidates will exhibit technical depth, dynamic interaction across functions, and exceptional communication and project management skills.
