As a leading manufacturer of frozen potato goods, we are seeking a dedicated professional to spearhead product development and provide technical expertise for our ANZ value engineering initiatives. This role encompasses a variety of exciting projects, from conceptualization and feasibility studies to development and market launch, all while prioritizing product excellence and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Drive teams in identifying cost-saving opportunities related to raw materials, ingredients, and processes to enhance McCain's value proposition.
- Collaborate across functions to generate innovative raw material and ingredient value engineering concepts and prepare compelling business cases for new initiatives.
- Engage with suppliers to enhance performance and assess new technologies and cost-saving strategies.
- Assist procurement in achieving savings across raw materials and ingredient expenditures, focusing on strategic cost analysis and value engineering.
- Establish strong relationships within the organization to efficiently develop new projects and streamline business processes.
- Influence stakeholders across all functions and senior leadership to navigate challenges and achieve organizational objectives.
- Lead technical teams as a program manager for high-value and complex projects to ensure successful execution.
- 7 - 10 years of relevant research and development experience in consumer goods, ideally within the food sector.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science & Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven expertise in product development, cost optimization, and manufacturing processes with a track record in product commercialization.
- Strong business acumen and influencing capabilities to secure project buy-in.
- Ability to foresee challenges and manage project risks while maintaining a focus on execution.
- Creative problem solver with an innovative mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to drive product development initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Project management training or certification is preferred.
- Successful candidates will exhibit technical depth, dynamic cross-functional engagement, and exceptional communication and project management skills.
