Senior Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to join our Ballarat Prepared Food Plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety Management System elements under the control of the Health and Safety Department are in control and capable of delivering on their purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching and mentoring to the Site Health and Safety Manager
- Utilize internal and external resources in the execution of the ANZ safety strategy
- Manage Worker's Compensation in consultation with external service providers and ANZ regional team
- Plan and budget specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being
- Serve as Lead Investigator for significant incidents that may occur at the plant, serve as Investigation Team Member for other plant's investigations
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Manager, with a minimum of 7 years total as an OHS practitioner. The ideal candidate will be conversant in Lean Manufacturing Principles with a focus on the Plan-Do-Check-Act process.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of unrelated projects with a results-oriented approach, logical thinking, and superior problem-solving abilities. They will also have proven ability to lead, influence, and coach individuals at all levels of the organization.
