About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Geelong. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including transfers, use of equipment, and hoisting.
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Support clients with catheter care, peg feeding, and bowel care.
  • Manage seizures and provide support during episodes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with people with physical disabilities and complex needs.
  • Good judgment, listening skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Full driver's license and willingness to provide transport in your own vehicle.
