Recovery Focused Mental Health Professional
This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As part of our dedicated team, you will provide recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review for children and young people presenting with symptoms of mental illness, distress and/or risk issues.
Main Responsibilities
- You will conduct mental health assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents and their families/carers
- Engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality patient care
- You will utilize a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care and demonstrate understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007)
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that cater to individual needs and circumstances
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership for relevant professional association
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical Child and Adolescent Mental Health practice
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence and ability to drive/travel as required
