Bookkeeper & Admin Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional bookkeeping and administrative support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bookkeeping and admin tasks including processing payroll, purchase orders, invoices and statements, AR and AP, reconciliations, reporting, superannuation, BAS and other client requirements.
  • Prepare end of month reports, including KPI tracking.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets as required.
  • Identify and implement business improvements, including the development of new procedures and operational efficiencies for ourselves and our clients.

Requirements:

  • Highly developed knowledge of reconciliation, both income and expenses.
  • Computer skills, with a strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Must be thorough and have attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn new software programs.

Additional Tasks:

  • Assist with the creation of Xero, QBO and ServiceM8 accounts.
  • Develop business workflow charts and workflows for our clients.
  • Transfer clients from one accounting software to another.
  • Conduct training sessions for our clients on Microsoft Office, Xero, QBO and MYBO.

Working Arrangements:

  • Part-time hours: 20-25 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.

Experience:

  • Xero experience (1 year + preferred).
  • Bookkeeping experience (1 year + preferred).
