This role involves providing support with maintenance activities to ensure our facilities are well-maintained and functional.
The Casual Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks including:
- Assisting with weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work.
- Carrying out general repairs, painting, cleaning, furniture relocation and assembly.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of outside spaces and ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Assisting with the maintenance of plant equipment and supplies, meeting Australian Standards.
- Engaging subcontractors and documenting relevant safety processes.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety policy, procedures, and protocols.
As part of a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, you will work across three venues to provide a positive experience for members and guests.
Requirements- Proven experience in maintenance or a similar field, with at least 6 months' experience.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and be a team player.
- Ability to use hardware tools and power equipment safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of legislative requirements, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
- Current full driver's license.
- Understanding of safe manual handling practices.
- Willingsness to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
