We are seeking a highly skilled Project Support Officer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic schedule reporting and analysis for the Technical Division, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and maintain supporting schedule documentation, streamlining processes and enhancing collaboration among teams.
  • Support governance reporting through weekly status updates, financial tracking, and milestone progress, providing stakeholders with accurate and timely information.
  • Maintain and monitor project registers (risks, issues, actions), contributing to risk mitigation planning and resolution, thereby ensuring project continuity.
  • Conduct regular schedule health checks and impact analysis on the Technical Capability schedule, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and reporting tools to support milestone delivery, demonstrating expertise in project management software and techniques.
  • Strong coordination skills across workforce planning, task tracking, and issue resolution in dynamic environments, fostering effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Experience maintaining project registers and supporting risk mitigation strategies to ensure delivery continuity, showcasing knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication across internal teams and external partners, building strong relationships and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Familiarity with Defence or infrastructure programs, with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and governance reporting, leveraging technical expertise to drive project success.
