Disability Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support people living with a disability. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering our customers to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:">
  • Mentoring and Skill Development: Guide customers to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Coaching Independent Living Skills: Assist customers with cooking, domestic, and social skills, enabling them to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medication and adhere to individual support plans, ensuring the well-being of our customers.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports, maintaining effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Community Engagement: Help customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities.
Requirements:">
  • Versatility and Adaptability: Possess versatile communication skills, including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence (mandatory requirement) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain). A Current First Aid Certificate is also essential.
  • Education and Experience: Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar would be advantageous, although not mandatory.
