Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work in a versatile role, supporting individuals with varying needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support customers in developing their personal interests and hobbies
  • Coach independent living skills such as cooking, domestic, and social skills
  • Administer medication and adhere to individual support plans
  • Provide clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Help customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to community participation programs and recreational activities

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers
  • Current AU Drivers Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID0011
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar would be advantageous
