Lead Capital Works Project Specialist

The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering capital works projects across the municipality, overseeing all stages from project development to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Project Scope Definition: Define project goals, deliverables, and scope in alignment with business objectives and stakeholder input.
- Contract Management: Prepare contract documentation and specifications for capital works projects, managing consultants and contractors throughout the procurement process.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on expenditure and progress to the Coordinator Project Delivery for allocated capital works projects.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure all works are executed safely and meet Council's standards, minimizing disruption to people and traffic.
- Project Delivery: Deliver high-quality capital works projects on time, within budget, and to Council's specifications.
- Contract Oversight: Oversee contracts with external providers, monitoring service delivery, timelines, and financial performance indicators.
- Risk Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
- Site Supervision: Supervise allocated capital works projects through site inspections and attending/organizing site meetings as required.
