Job Opportunity

We are seeking a professional to play a vital role in the lives of individuals with mental health concerns, supporting them on their path to recovery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a broad range of interventions within an acute mental health setting, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and leveraging technology skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Mental Health and Guardianship Acts, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and have knowledge of recovery-focused care principles within an acute mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective and a broad range of interventions within an acute mental health setting.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilize computer literacy skills.
  • Assess and address the needs of individuals with mental health concerns, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the complex needs of consumers.
Requirements
  • Hold at minimum a bachelor's degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Understanding of both the Mental Health and Guardianship Acts and their applicability to this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective and a broad range of interventions within an acute setting.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of recovery-focused care and principles within an acute mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated skills in computer literacy.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
